Kids Say The Darndest Things

Kids really do say the funniest things, and no one knows that better than moms! Whether they're asking a question or interacting with their siblings, kids know how to do it with a sense of humor. Especially now that most moms are indoors all day with their children, their kids have been coming up with some pretty crazy quotes. To celebrate Mother’s Day, we had some moms from our community share the funniest things their kids have said and the results are hilarious. Read for a good laugh!

“The other night I was putting my 6-year-old, Timothy, and one of his younger twin brother’s who is only 3, Robert, to bed. I asked Timothy if he missed his friends and he said, “Yes kind of,’ and Robert all of a sudden said, ‘I miss my friends,’. Timothy replied ‘Do you even have friends Robert?’”

“I was changing out of my pjs and Logan walked in while I was doing so. Logan goes, ‘Mommy what do you have?” Me: ‘What do you mean buddy?’ Logan points to my private area haha. Me: ‘Mommy has a vagina.’ Logan: ‘I have a pee pee. Daddy has a pee pee too, but it’s a BIG pee pee.’ It made my husband’s day.”

"I have two daughters, one is 4 months old and the other is 2.5 (going on 25). I have been trying to teach my oldest daughter how to share with her younger sister. The other day she got into my closet and started to try and walk in a pair of my heels. I very quickly grabbed them from her and told her it wasn't safe. She paused for a moment, grabbed the shoes back and said, 'You need to learn to share.'"

"Every night when I tuck my daughter Leni in for bed (she’ll be 4 in August) we lay down in bed and she rubs my face and sings 'You Are My Sunshine' to me. This song is really special to me because my mom used to sing it to me, it was kind of our thing. I think she learned it in school because she now sings it to ME! 🥰"
