Get The Look: Go Bold or Go Natural
July 19, 2021
As the world begins to open back up, we’re ready to celebrate by showing off all the fun makeup looks we’ve been dreaming of this past year. Are you feeling daring or demure? Bold or natural? Bold looks can draw attention to our best features, while a more natural look can be soft and low-key. We created a tutorial for both, so you can decide which look you want to try, depending on your mood:
1. Create a Fresh, Glowing Base
Apply the Tinted Face Stick as a base for moisturizing, lightweight coverage. Draw on the face in light strokes - on the forehead, cheeks, chin and bridge of the nose. For more coverage, use a heavier hand and more product. Flip the product to the opposite side and use the built-in sponge in small, circular motions to buff the formula into the skin.
Swipe the Highlight Stick in Maldives Luminescent onto the face in long, steady strokes where the light naturally accentuates your features: on the brow bone, cheekbones, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow. Flip the highlight stick to the opposite side and use the built-in sponge to delicately blend for a natural-looking glow.
2. Define and Set Your Brows
Use the Brow Pencil to define and gently fill sparse areas. Use the pencil’s tip to fill your inner brow (closer to your nose bridge) creating natural, precise strokes. Create definition along the edges, then switch to the square tip to fill in along the upper arch. Flip the product around to use the built-in gel formula. Use the long or short bristles of the gel brush to comb and set brows in place. The flexible-hold tinted gel grooms and sets hairs perfectly into place for a natural looking brow.
3. Give Your Eyes Soft Definition
Using the Shimmer Shadow Crayon in Kona Shimmer, glide directly onto the eyelid (with no primer necessary). For a classic all-over look, apply shadow over the eyelids completely and blend into the crease line. Turn the product to the opposite side and use the blending brush to shape and blend color as desired.
Apply the Eye Pencil in Swiss Chocolate using short, gentle strokes along the upper and lower lash lines. To blend, flip the pencil to the other side and use the smudger in small, controlled circles.
Coat your eyelashes with Good Vibes Mascara for a lifted, natural effect. Starting with the half-curler, push downward on the lever starting at the outer corner of the eye. Position your curler as close as possible to the lash line (without pinching skin). Push the lever down to curl and hold for 3-5 seconds. Move across the entire eye to curl every section for as much lift and curve as desired. Twist base of curler to access volumizing mascara. Apply mascara in broad strokes from the lash line outward.
